What is the Icentered paradigm?

Icentered is a new user centered web paradigm for personal webbing and relations with digital surroundings, that places the individual I as a holistic micro-universe of one, at the center of digital interactions. Where to providers it is a flat world, this novel paradigm places a big individual I in the center – an individualized gravity anchor around personal context as a defined authentic personal mark.

This personal vantage point sees each individual as a micro universe of one. It aspires for a personalized, contextualized, private and safe web, where the individual user has active control over personal data and privacy. The Icentered culture stems from a total sense of freedom, self-control and a clear notion of the value of individual distinctiveness.

The Icentered paradigm sees personal context as the anchor for relevance based interactions harmonization, relevance. Contexting people and placing that contextualization in their hands, improves ROA (return on attention) in users’ attention economy.
The Icentered paradigm is not just about emancipating users from dependency on providers. It is about renewing a fundamental pact of trust and authenticity that will result in transparent reciprocity and mutual respect, green web ecology.

Icentered is a web 3.0 paradigm that calls for a new pact of engagement terms between providers, users and the social web. Once the individual I is at the center, the whole paradigm is reversed, to establish user controlled pull and share modes relationship with providers  and active participation in food chains, establishing where personal data and context  become an alternative currency, that reverses the meaning of long tail economy. Once users and providers alike become aware of the value of personalization, are equally privacy sensitive and want to act in a free marketplace for context based interactions and respect for transparency of needs and offers, these open soft values will become the basis for trust – a cornerstone in clean web ecology based on authenticity, mutual sharing and trust.

The “I in the center” paradigm is an alternative to the top-down provider side paradigms that provide fragmented experiences in their walled gardens, difficulties in users’ data portability, lack of free roaming and harmonization of experience, dependence on opaque privacy policies  and aggressive targeting by advertisers without being part of these food chains.
